Dave has been working in shops since high school. He moved to Arizona from Toledo, Ohio in 1989 where he began working for J. Patrick Industries. In 1992, he partnered up with his father Bill Perrin, who ran the oldest stained glass studio in AZ. Together they formed Art Glass and Millwork. In 2002, Dave’s Custom Millwork was formed, and became an LLC in 2018. (ROC #320300). In 2014, Dave acquired his father’s business, Art Glass of Arizona. Bill Perrin passed away in January of 2018.
Dave personally enjoys football (finally retired from this at age 47), meeting and entertaining new and old friends alike, his ‘toys’ – Harleys, ATV’s, etc. and of course, spending quality time at his home with his 5 favorite girls (wife Meara and 4 daughters). He plans to open a mini-shop in Crown King for small cabin related repairs and to hold small shop and stained glass and small woodworking classes in the mountain cabin community of Crown King, AZ.
Meara Perrin, Co-owner & Artist
Meara, native to AZ, returned here from Traverse City, MI shortly after high school graduation. She has worked on and off for Candelaria Design since 2000 as Marketing Director. She has also worked alongside Dave Perrin since assisting in the creation of Dave’s Custom Millwork in 2002. She works for DCM as office manager, online & marketing director, artist/muralist, finishings and small butcher block cutting boards. She plans to assist with the re-launch of Art Glass very soon and will be designing and creating both copper foil and leaded glass pieces, many to be incorporated into Dave’s work. Meara also works from home as an independent contractor doing digital and social media marketing, & eLearning development. She plans to learn next about augmented reality and ios security platforms. This, of course, is all in addition to keeping up with the daily requirements a family of 6 brings to the table!

Working for years now with Dave I've gotten used to and, of course expect quality. His uniqueness comes with his ability to listen and then add creativity as the client relationship unfolds. He is one of the few craftsmen that I have no problem referring directly to a client, knowing full well he'll be working directly for them.
Don RisslingRissling Construction
Rissling Construction Group, Inc. recognizes Dave's Custom Millwork as one of the premier millwork companies we have worked with. They have an excellent reputation for their timeliness in correspondence and the completion of their work. DCM's owner, Dave Perrin, has an acute eye for detail, specialty finishes, and the ability to work under any circumstance. Besides being knowledgeable, honest, competent, and polite, DCM's installations are quick, on time, and clean. There are a lot of good craftsmen and quality products out there, but Dave Perrin goes out of his way on every bid, every project. I hold DCM in high regard as true professionals. I recommend Dave for any project, big or small, residential or commercial. As a business owner, I am grateful to have Dave's Custom Millwork on our team.
Dave was invaluable to my husband and me after we bought our water-front home in Scottsdale Ranch. He built a custom wall desk and office for our library, and designed two gorgeous custom fireplaces lined with iridescent tile that are the focal point of our great room and bedroom. Many of our friends have planned to replicate the fireplaces in their own homes. He is a joy to work with. As meticulous and creative as he is, we are grateful that our interior designer introduced us so we could benefit from his talent. We simply cannot recommend him highly enough. He and his wife Meara are an unbeatable team.
It is with great pleasure that I have been asked to write this letter of recommendation of behalf of Dave Perrin, owner of Dave's Custom Millwork. The quality of his workmanship, as well as his dedication to every detail is exemplary. Each and every project in our home has added both beauty and richness unique in this day and age. The magnificent office wall of shelves and carpentry, as well as the stately desk Dave designed and constructed for me are two examples of his exceptional talents. However, his skills can be more dramatically demonstrated in our Boston Room - a room that our architect, Mark Candelaria and Dave designed together to replicate an old Boston men's club room. The workmanship, the detail and the warmth of the woods is a tribute to Dave's talent. On a less formal basis, Dave created a playroom for our grandchildren from an old storage room that housed our luggage. The room was magically transformed, with the helo of his wife Meara, the artist who painted the walls with every animal in Phoenix Zoo in an animated form. It now is a playroom that draws rave reviews from every visitor with comments such as, "This should be in a magazine!" The cabinets that Dave builts are every color of the rainbow and the pulls are also animals. The play table and desk are perfect for keeping any child entertained. The space is amazingly creative. It is with great pleasure and admiration that I write this letter.
